🔐 Disable Windows Security

🛡️ Virus & Threat Protection

1. Open Virus & Threat Protection via Windows Search

2. Click Manage Settings

3. Turn off Real-time Protection

🔥 Firewall & Network Protection

1. Open Firewall & Network Protection

2. Turn off all three options:

   • Domain Network

   • Private Network

   • Public Network

🌐 App & Browser Control

1. Open App & Browser Control

2. Go to Reputation-Based Protection Settings

3. Turn off all four settings

🧰 Install Defender Control

1. Download Defender Control here
2. Unzip the file (Password: sordum)

3. Run dControl.exe

4. Click Disable Defender

⚠️ Disable Virtualization (Required)

Step 1: Check Status

1. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL → Open Task Manager

2. Go to Performance > CPU

3. Look for Virtualization — it must be Disabled

Step 2: Disable via BIOS

Every BIOS is different. Do not contact support for help with BIOS settings.

1. Open System Information via Windows Search

2. Note:

   • BaseBoard Manufacturer

   • BaseBoard Product

3. Look up instructions online or refer to your motherboard manual to disable virtualization

2. If you see the message “Please Launch SteelSeriesGG”, download and run: 👉 SteelSeriesGG
3. Make sure you're logged into Steam

4. Rust will auto-launch
